Bereichsnavigation 2. Ebene
The means of entering the Pergamonmuseum will change significantly. Each of the individual collections is clearly structured by being placed in its own wing of the system. These collections are grouped around the Ehrenhof, from which each of them can be entered directly. The pavilion built during 1980-1982, which then served as the sole entrance to the building, will be replaced by a new reception tempietto (little temple) which invites visitors and strollers into the building. Each of the side wings will receive its own entrance under the columns of the fourth wing. Thus the Ehrenhof develops a new quality as forum with distributor function.
The Pergamon Museum's connection to the Archaeological Promenade will lie directly under the new reception tempietto. In addition, the museum will be accessed from the James Simon-Galerie, the new reception building, at the level of the main circuit.
